How to wear ...

pictures via www.pinterest.com

As I mentioned in one of my last posts, I´ve bought myself one of these Fisherman´s hats in Paris,
which thanks to my hatter now fits my teeny tiny hat perfectly. So if you have a small hat like me,
just look for a hatter in your city. It won´t be a problem to reduce the hat circumference up to two centimeters.

I went for the grey Isabel Marant Étoile hat - the most simple model I could find.
Without too much detailing and volume I thought it would go with everything in my wardrobe.
Because of its plain grey colour I can wear it with any other colour without having too much contrast
in my outfits if I´d like to wear lighter shades with it, too. But, of course, you can´t get wrong with navy blue or black either.
The weather in Berlin was not yet hat suitable but I wore it once in the morning and I felt quite fashionable wearing it,
even if I paired it with a skinny black jeans, a black v-neck sweater and brown suede loafers only.
Super simple and comfy but due to my hat still quite cool. Exactly what I thought it would do to my outfits.
I´m really looking forward to my short trip to London, where I´ll hopefully get more use out of it.
In the meantime I keep on looking for inspirations how to rock a fisherman´s hat like Lucy Williams or Kate Moss.

Wishfully Thinking

New season is just around the corner and that means a lot of new arrivals everywhere and
as I am a big lover of Autumn time and especially Autumn clothing I have gathered a list of things
I´m currently coveting. At the top of my list is a good pair of dark washed denim with a high waist
for a bit of a 70ies vibe I am all over at the moment. Any tips for well fitted denim jeans  (for short legs)
in this style to a more affordable price welcomed! Then I´m currently loving print shirts in any sort
and they are quite easy to wear by making any outfit a bit more special. Also something unusual but
still on my wishlist a patterned blouse with star print. This one by Equipment seems perfect but the price tag is insane.
That´s why it is not yet landed into my shopping bag. Same with the beautiful chocolate brown loafers
by Mansur Gavriel, whose design is just on point. I love them even more than the Gucci loafers
everyone (including me) loves so much. Don´t you think the cute bucket bag in a similar brown shade
would be the perfect partner for these loafers? The Necklace by Missoma in collaboration with Lucy Williams
would be the second addition from her collection but every piece of jewellery she has designed is so beautiful and
timeless. Last but not least there are two beauty products on my mind I´d love to try out.
Firstly Giorgio Armani´s Maestro Liquid Summer to keep up a healthy bronzed summer skin in Autumn and
the new autumnal Chanel eyeshadow squad with four matte eyeshadows in my favourite shades of all time.
And as it is going to be more and more comfier the next couple of weeks
I´d like to add a fresh new scented candle to my collection as well.

I´m curious what´s on your wishlist for the upcoming season!
Let´s see what I´m going to add to my wardrobe first. I´ll keep you posted!

Yes, I am still alive...

...but unfortunately I´ve been super busy with work the last couple of weeks.
That´s why I decided to take a little break from blogging and to focus
on my daily work business instead of doing both things by halves.
Now, as time went by so quickly, I began to recognize how much I was missing my personal style diary lately.
Every inspiration and new discovery I made was carefully stored in my head in the beginning but of course,
they became too many and I realized that I need this website to create memories of my life and inspirational sources.
Long story short, time permitting, I´m going to be more active again on this platform and
I hope you´ll coming along again for some outfit ideas, interior inspirations, personal wishlists and much more.

Today, I wanted to share with you some of my holiday souvenirs from my short trip to Paris.
It felt amazing being back in my favourite city of all time. Paris is truly my happy place.
Whenever I feel uninspired or uncertain about the future or overwhelmed by everything,
a couple of days in this city and everything seems less complicated.
August is perhaps not the best month to visit a big city but we were really lucky and
spend most of our days walking through the beautiful streets of Montmatre, Marais and
Saint Germain des Prés, ate good food and did a little bit of shopping, of course.
My most exciting and also most pricy purchase are my new sunglasses from Céline.
An item I wanted to add to my selection for a long time and Paris felt like the perfect place to buy them.
While strolling through Marais I found a nice little Vintage shop and quickly went in
and came back with a new bag from Longchamp. A totally unintentional purchase but a real bargain
and I love a good black and brown leather bag. Somehow I´m really into hair clips at the moment.
That´s why I couldn´t leave this one, which is also hand made in France.
Last but not least (not really visible in the picture) I bought a pair of cure little star earrings,
which I found quite parisian and cool to glam up a simple outift for the evening.
Oh, and I payed my favourite parisian designer Isabel Marant a visit and bought a grey woolen fisherman´s cap,
which I wanted to buy last season already. A piece I am so happy about as it wasn´t easy to find it in my hat size.
Apparently, I have a really small head. Such being the case the smallest size was still too small and my hat
is at a tailor right now to make it even smaller to fit my teeny tiny head.
We brought home, of course, some delicious macarons (a must) but they are all gone by now.

Marland Backus, Heather Kemesky, Janiece Dilone by Cass Bird for Porter Magazine Spring 2016

When one of my favourite photographer, two of my favourite models and lace dresses meet
in one editorial, the result has to look as magical as it does in this photo story by
Cass Bird for the current issue of Porter Magazine.
Titled as Heavenly Creatures, Marland Backus and Heather Kemensky look more than heavenly
in their beautiful, light summer dresses thank to Stylist Alex White.
I can´t wait to spend happy summer days like this on the countryside with my friends.
Let´s pretend we´re gonna look like this as well.

Trench Coat Weather

Originally created to protect us from rain, the trench coat has proven long time ago
that it has become a real wardrobe staple for Spring time not only for practicle reasons
but most of all as a fashion must have.
Some people might be a different opinion. I guess, you either love trench coats or you hate them but
I think most of you agree when I say, that a classic trench coat belongs in every wardrobe by the age of 25.

There are a couple of nice models available on the high street, if you want to find out first
whether it fits in your wardrobe or not. But I have to say it is definitely worth investing in a luxury,
high quality version of such a classic piece. You can find Burberry coats in every well sorted
Second hand store for a fraction of the original price, which doesn´t make it impossible to own such a classic.
However, my heart beats for one not so traditional model from Totême and a rather Burberry-like piece from Filippa K
Hard to make a decision as they are totally different in style but both absolutely beautiful.
I need to figure out soon because the weather in Berlin is just perfect for a Trench at the moment!

Wishful Thinking

The past weekend finally felt like Spring here in Berlin. The sun treated us with its warmest sun beams and
everything smelled fresh and spring-like. When it comes to me Spring could be all year round.
The perfect weather to get out your sandals and wear them with a classic pair of blue jeans.
There is a small selection of shoes I´d still like to add to my Spring/Summer shoe collection this year.
For example a nice pair of leather slippers as well as a pair of mid heeled sandals.
ATP Sandals seems to make my most secret shoe dreams come true by its modern minimalism.
One pair of them might be my next big investment.
I don´t know when my obsession has started but I can´t help myself when it comes to shoes.
What kind of shoe is still missing in your Spring/Summer collection?

New in

I have some new beauty favourites on my beauty shelf that I want to share with you.
My personal highlight out of my new arrivals is my new scent La Tulipe by Byredo, w
hich is more like a rediscovery because I have used a sample size
last Spring already and fell in love with this bottle of tulips.
Another nice scented product in my collection comes from my favourite Australian skin care brand
Aesop with the difference that this product not only smells heavenly but also makes your skin feel heavenly.
The product I´m walking about is the Fabulous Face Oil, that I use as my daily moisturizer for my combination skin.
A lightweight oil what leaves your skin feel smooth and nourished.
Another repurchase however was the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado by Kiehl´s. The best eye product
I have ever used, honestly. The formula is exactly how the product disription says: creamy and a great treatment,
which cools down and nurtures your under eye area perfectly. Talking about eyes, my last discovery from
&Other Stories also helps to get a healthy looking under eye area and provides a radiant appearance
for tired looking eyes by mixing the Radiant Highlighter Concealer under your normal concealer.
You might have noticed, healthy looking skin is key for me at the moment and everything that supports a radiant,
glowing complexion is really welcomed on my beauty shelf.

Home Inspiration

pictures via www.pinterest.com

My apartment is a permanent project in progress. I raise my hat to everybody,
who is totally satisfied with every corner of its apartement. For my part, I can say my interior constantly
develops the way I develope myself. I´m not sure if I´ll ever be highly pleased with every single room and
every single corner in my apartment but that would be also quite boring, I guess.
Speaking of construction zones, my current project is my bed room.
After some rearrangements the wall above my bed looks quite bare as I haven´t found something
nice to hang up on this wall. A nice alternative to artworks and posters, which came into my mind at first,
might be some cool wall lights on every side of the bed.
I went on the hunt for potential candidates and put these favourites on the shortlist.

Wardrobe Basics for Spring

Slowly but surely I get sick of my winter wardrobe. For my liking winter might soon come to an end
so that I can finally get my spring clothes out again. With spring clothes I mean light blouses,
loafers and ballerines, t-shirts and sunglasses, which you can wear again without being stared at.
Online you can already find a great variety of new season pieces, which I can hardly resist.
Elin Kling has just added some really cool denim trousers to the collection of her brand Totême.
The dark washed casual fit model would be the perfect supplement to my own denim collection.
Worn with a well fitted t-shirt and complemented by some nice little details
a rather simple but relaxed look for any occasion.
What I like about t- shirt from &Other Stories is that they are made from a super soft but
light weight material and that the arms are kind of cropped, which suits my body really well.
If you haven´t found the perfect fitted shirt yet, you definitely check out these.
In spring time I love to wear loafers because they are something in between ballerinas and classic lace ups.
I already own one pair but another pair to vary seems like a good investment. Isabel Marant shoes
are always good quality, super comfy and the designs are simply amazing. Maybe a cheaper alternative
to classic Gucci loafers? When talking about Gucci, how cute is this bee bag?
Usually I don´t like prints on bags and Gucci is sometimes a little bit too much for my taste but
this bag took my heart by storm, if only the price weren´t that ridiculous.
As you can see all of these pieces are quite classic but still not square at all.
To invest in good quality pieces, which will last you for a couple of years, makes absolutely sense for me.
You just have to find out, what is missing in your wardrobe and what is easy
to combine with the pieces you already have.
I try to stick to my list and let you know, as soon as something was allowed to move in.

Celebrating Feminity

Every now and then I came across pictures of those really cool rugs and started look out for them online.
In my search I´ve stumbled upon some more cool boob themed home accessories,
which I think, are super cool and absolutely aesthetic. I can´t help myself but I love the way boobs look and
I think the time has come to celebrate feminity in all its beauty.
Admittedly, it´s quite a big statement to have a rug with boobs laying in your living room but
I thought about starting with this smaller bathmat of a female torso.
What do you think about these home accessories - sexist or feminist?

What I would like wearing today

Happy Valentines Day everyone, whether you´re celebrating it or not.
If you do, than this is maybe an inspiration for you what to wear for a date night out with your Valentine and if not,
than it might be just an inspiration for every other date night. Maybe I went a little bit crazy with all this
Valentines Day themed stuff in my collage but I just like every single piece of my selection so much.
I think overknee boots and a sort skirt are sexy enough to go for a more dressed way on top
but the bright red colour is a great eyecatcher for such a special occasion. Pretty underwear, you feel comfortable in,
is a must for a romantic date just like a big smile on your face.
With this small inspiration boeard I wish you a day full of love or at least a chilled Sunday!

Jewellery Staples

My jewellery collection mainly consists of some really pretty but rather old school
heirlooms from my mum and some quite lovely but cheap fashion jewellery pieces.
That´s why I was on the hunt for a beautiful piece of jewellery timelessly but still unique to a reasonable price.
I thought it would be much harder to find something, which corresponds with my expectations
but I ended up quite fast with a nice little selection of my favourite pieces.
I think, all of these are real staple pieces, some more than others but it always depends on your personal style.
Those who dress quite simple and classic, can go for example for a more eye-catching piece and
it will still go with a lot of your clothes and can become real staples in your collection.
Everything of my selection would blend  perfectly in my wardrobe, which is something between
timeless and modern with a classic touch. I know, the prices can be quite deterrent for something
so tiny but it will last you for such a long time and even perhaps your children.
And hey, Valentine´s Day is just around the corner. Maybe your boyfriend is still without a plan,
then just send him over to my site. Otherwise I´m sure we don´t need anybody to buy ourselves a surprise.
I already got myself one of these pieces as the beginning of my jewellery staple collection. Guess which one!

The Little Something

A short while ago I came across these lovely brooches of the french accessory brand Macon&Lesquoy.
I know, brooches are actually not that kind of accessory you might be looking for but as you can see,
these ones are just beautiful and anything but old school.
Moreover, they are hand embroidered and absolutely pretty in every detail.
You can choose of a variety of different motifs, some more classic ones but also some funny ones.
For me it is absolutely impossible to choose only one favourite but in the end
I went for a more classic palm tree leaf, which I stick to my simple stripy shirt to make it a little bit more special.
The cloud and the croissant are my other two favourites and would be my next choice.
The prices are more than affordable for a hand embroidered piece which looks so lovely and is so versatile.
Definitely a great discovery! You can order online on www.maconetlesquoy.com or
Berlin based people can find a good selection at Hallesches Haus.

Heather Kemesky & Lou Schoof by Zoe Ghertner for Vogue UK January 2015

pictures via www.wearesodroee.com

A new editorial titled ´Old friends´ by my favourite photographer Zoe Ghertner is published
in the current issue of Vogue UK and it is no surprise that I totally love it.
I really admire her work since I discovered her, because she tells even more than just fashion
even if it is a simple fashion story. Her pictures are not about perfect retouched faces or selling the female body.
You can always discover more in her photographies. I feel like her latest work is quite sensitive
like most of her works indeed. The way she creates portraits of Heather Kemesky and Lou Schoof
even if they are not in the same picture is simply amazing.
The motifs are carefully considered and perfectly constructed. Fashion Editor Lucinda Chambers
also did an amazing job by styling both in very similar boyish looks.
This underlines the story of this editorial even better and thereby differs from a lot of other fashion edits for me.

Something different

picture via www.into-mind.com

It is something a little bit different to that, what I usually post on my site but
I thought this might be quite interesting for some of you as well.
The 30-day minimalism challenge was created by Anuschka, who runs a very inspiring blog
called www.into-mind.com, where you can find loads of helpful articles about
how to live a slower, simpler life with less stuff.
This challenge is just perfect to focus on the important things in life and slow down a little bit
when everything seems to pass by too fast. I feel like I have to destress my life from social media and
everything which can really drive me crazy sometimes, as I´m still at the beginning of my twenties and
I want to appreciate every second of it now. Of course, you can´t do fun things every single day 24 hours
but at least you have to try to make the best out of every minute you have.
Sometimes I feel to be in a bit of a rush and I can´t enjoy all these great moments to the fullest.
I really want to change this for 2016 and be more attentive and thankful for everything I have.
This challenge could be a perfect start for this resolution.
You can get more detailed instruction for everyday´s task by following
this link to Anuschka´s article. Aftercoping with this challenge this might be the next one?

PS: I set myself another smaller challenge to accomplish first.
Today I´ve started my mission to make Pilates everyday (at least for 20 minutes) for one week.
I used to love making Pilates during the summer but for some reason I stopped doing it and
now it is really hard to come back into the flow, you know?
I hope to become motivated again after this week, not only fitness-related.
I hope I can do this but one week should be feasible, I think.

Beauty Wishlist 2016

It is still January and I thought the perfect time to create a wishlist full of beauty cravings
I want to get my hands on throughout 2016.
On this list you can find old classics, I have already tested and loved as well as super hyped products,
I definitly want to give a try. One of these old classics is the Kiehl´s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
I had it for a while but after finishing it, I didn´t repurchased it and tried something else, which,
I think, is not as good as the Kiehl´s Treatment. My thin under eye skin felt never as nourished again.
That´s why it is on top of my wishlist. Same with the Lancome Hypnôse Mascara, which I´ve used for a while
but didn´t repurchased after finishing.
The other products however I haven´t tried before but crossed my way lately and aroused big interest on my part.
The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette might be an essential for some of you already
but powders were never one of these products I wanted to spend a lot of money.
This has changed now because I realized a good powder can make such a difference.
These palette consisting of three illuminating shades seem to be perfect for me as they make your skin
look glowy by mattifying your complexion. Speaking of glow, the Becca Highlighters
are on everyone´s lips and now also in my head just like the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer
everyone is raving about. I haven´t found the perfect Concealer yet but maybe in 2016?
Haircare-wise Oribe is a brand I definitly want to give a try even if the prices act as a deterrent.
I was lucky enough to try a sample of the Masque for Beautiful Colour and loved how my hair felt after this treatment.
I know that a lot of people love the Dry Texturizing Spray and my hair always need a bit of texture.
Another brand, which is more on the pricy side is Byredo. La Tulipe is my go to perfume for Spring time and
I want to have another scent to vary a bit. A friend of mine got the Perfume Leather Case for Christmas and
I want to have one of these ever since. You can get every Byredo scent in  a special refill size to put it into
this beautiful leather case to make it even easier to travel with.
Last but not least I have to more skin care poducts I need to try in 2016. The Charcoal Clear Improvement Mask
from Origins and the Pixi Glow Tonic. Both for more uneven skin days, which I have quite often these days.
Has anyone of you experiences with those products mentioned?
You´ll for sure be the first who find out when I get anything of that.

For more beauty and fashion cravings of mine, check out my Wantfeed page
where you can put it straight on your wishlist, too.

Weekend Read

I don´t know what about you but I´m not totally arrived yet in 2016.
Normally I don´t have these difficulties with starting a new year but this time it was quite sentimental and thoughful.
I hope to get back my energy soon. Luckily, I had two full days off, which I have well spend booking
my summer holidays, watching some episodes of my favourite series and reading the latest issue of Porter Magazine.
Now I´m a bit in a blues that this enjoyable weekend is already over.
Anyway, this article about Emma Watson published in Porter Magazine I do not want to keep back.
She has become such a strong and inspiring woman and her commitment made me feel much more motivated.

New in

Hello again! It´s been a while but let´s go on with one of my favourite things to do.
Showing you my latest sale bargains and some new beauty bits and bobs.
You know how much I love my Isabel Marant Étoile Patsha Boots in brown.
As I mentioned in my Black Boots Selection post, I was thinking about getting the black ones as well and
as you can see I did it. I may not have bought them if they weren´t on sale but it must be a sign
that there was only one black pair left in my size on sale. I don´t feel guilty because I love these shoes
so much in both colours and I hope I can wear them for a long long time.
I feel more guilty about my two new sweaters because I know, that I already own a lot of lovely knitwear pieces.
But every winter again I feel like I need more of them if I want to survive the coldness outside.
In my defence I have to say that I neither have a blue sweater nor a black and white salt and pepper
sweater and I now feel like being well equipped even I already keep an eye on two other non sale models.
Beauty-wise I finally can tell the Laura Mercier Tinted Mousturizer my own, which was on my wishlist
for such a long time. Along with that I bought another Diptyque Room Fragrance with a heavenly floral scent,
which I´m going to use to feel a little more spring-like even if it´s freezing outside.
Last but not least I got myself a new red lipstick. I´m so in love with this deep berry but still red colour,
I wore every since almost every day during Christmas time. The perfect colour to go with my dark blue sweater.
I´m not a hundred percent satisfied with the durability of this lipstick but anyways I love the finish of it.
Did you got anything from the sale or do you remain strong yet?

The start into a new year is the perfect chance to approach new challenges or
to bring old projects to an end. For me the first (fun) project of the year will be to complete my corridor
by adding some nice little details. These wooden dots by Muuto are the perfect little accessory
for my rather narrow corridor and also super practical as you can put stuff like bags, scarves, hats or jackets on them.
The dots were on my mind for quite some time and I´ve just found an amazing offer, which I could not longer resist.
Well, the first step is done and I´m already looking forward to check off this first project from my 2016 to do list.
What are your projects for this year?
