September Wishlist

A new month is right around the corner and on my list a few things have accumulated.
These things are primarily pieces for colder days, which must be expectable in September.
Autumn has always been one of my favorite seasons because of its special magic and
the fact that I love to buy coats somehow.
One new arrival per year is aloud. I´m thinking about this navy pea coat from Cos
because I haven´t got  a shorter model like this and I think it is really classic and fits to all of my other clothes.
Why I´m hesitating? I don´t know.
The other thing I could buy en masse every autumn are sweaters.
Knit is my absolute beloved material for winter.
That´s why I definitely need this knitted navy trousers in my wardrobe
just like a v-neck sweater like this one from Acne. Two things, which will keep me warm
and are absolutely worth it, The other things are just some smaller pieces for in between,
which are also  won my heart immediately.
Beauty products in general really came up into my focus in the last months and
I begin more and more to pay attention on my beauty routines.
The Charcoal Konjac sponge by Karmameju really aroused my interest and
I need to try it out to convince myself.
To cut a long story short, I´m in love with each piece and
really wish they´ll becoming mine this month.

The pictures having a really retro atmosphere and that´s not only caused by her look.
McLellan has a special talent to capture really timeless moments.
The pictures could just as well came up in the sixties.
Paris brings also along a really historical spirit with its magnificent old buildings,
which makes the story to become so enchanting.

Update: DIY Living Room Lighting

For me it´s always so exciting to work on personal home projects.
I love to have an idea of something and to realize it.
The idea of a minimalistic light installation for our living room area came up
while browsing though a various of interior websites,
where I often came across the Muuto E27 Pendant Lamp.
I decided against the Muuto lamp because
I searched something more extensive for the free space and
therefore we decided to create our own installation.
All we needed for our project was:

11 m textile cord
3 bulb holders E27
3 globe bulbs E27
( pay attention on the energy efficiency category)
and that is it.

We´ve decided also to install a dimmer to regulate the amount of light.
I think, a decision, which was definitely worth it because
three bulbs spending a lot of light and
in the evening it´s sometimes more pleasant to have less of light for a more romantic feeling.
All in all we paid around 80€ in total.
With a bit electric know-how it is quite easy to install and take up less of time.
Do you like it this way?

Pointy Flats

Time between seasons is always a little bit tricky.
You never know if it is still warm enough to wear sandals with long trousers or
if it is already to cold for wearing open shoes.
Everyday I´m asking me the same question.
For me it turned out that Loafers are a good choice for those tepid days.
My favorites of the season are pointy loafer/flats, preferably the designs from Céline and The Row.
I didn´t explored similar designs from Highstreet Labels like Zara or H&M for a smaller budget yet.
That´s why my selection is a bit high-prised this time but they are just so beautiful.

Weekend Inspiration

Charlotte Gainsbourg - for me, one of the most inspirational people on earth.
As an actress, as a singer, as a human.
Such a beautiful woman with a strong individuality.
That is also what makes her to a really admirable person.
If you want to convince of her talent I can just recommend
watching her latest movie Nymphomaniac directed by Lars von Trier.
At the latest then you´ll understand what I mean.

Hamburg impressions II

Here we go with my second and already last part of my impressions from lovely Hamburg.
One thing I definitely prefer compared to Berlin is the water.
Even if Berlin also dispose of some bigger branches of river it is nothing as against Hamburg with its variety of rivers.
It is so calming walking by the riverside and watching the boats and ships in the harbour.
Hamburg also has a lot of nice shops by the way. So don´t hesitate if you never been there.
It is really the lovely city everybody says.

Mango Autumn/Winter Campaign 2014

pictures via mango.com

These campaign pictures for Mango´s Autumn/Winter collection make me feel so peaceful.
Pretty Daria Werbowy looks so relaxed in the pictures wearing the upcoming collection.
I´d love to make a trip to a calm place like this, even if my holidays just ended.
Wouldn´t mind wearing these simple, cozy looks as well.

Hamburg impressions I

pictures by me

Me and my boyfriend spend 3 days in Hamburg last week. I´ve never been there before and it was definitely worth it.
It´s a total difference between Berlin and Hamburg and I loved the calmness of the city compared to Berlin.
We experienced a lot of things and ran around the city from from dawn till dusk.
Here is the first of two parts of my Hamburg impressions, just to share some personal moments with you.
Enjoy!
