Ikea Sinnerlig Collection

pictures via www.ikea.com

There is finally a good reason for a casual trip to Ikea from the beginning of August -
in fact the launch of its two new collections SINNERLIG and SKOGSTA.
Even I don´t need anything for my apartment I definitely need
at least a short glance of  SINNERLIG collection, which was created in collaboration
with Ilse Crawford with the focus on modest, linear designs made from natural materials
such as cork, bamboo and cotton to create a zen feel moment for your home.
There are small kitchen, table or decoration items available as well as pieces of furniture.
I cast a covetous eye on the cachepots and this stunning daybed,
which is unfortunately absolutely unessectial at the moment.
But there is nothing to say about a short visit to get an overview and a delicious hot dog!

A hint of colour

Usually, I´m a quite monochrome kind of person when it comes to interior and fashion.
I don´t know what happened lately, but for some reason
I constantly have the yen to add more colours into my life.
Cushions are always an easy way to change the look of your room slightly and
the first thing I keep watching when I need a change.
That is what I did and look how pretty brightly coloured cushions I have found online.

Christmas feeling

pictures taken by myself

A little sneak peak into my apartment, how it looks like now in Christmas season.
Here and there some small christmassy decorations and fir branches or other branches in almost every room.
Really puristic with a traditional touch. I like decorations with an ancient, sometimes cheesy look.
The Advent calender is do-it-yourself with only a few things (via www.modulor.de)
and little effort and looks fantastic. I´ve also tried to
make a Advent wreath but somehow my plan failed as I didn´t know
how to fix the candles on my quite slim wreath.
That´s why I decided to hang the wreath on the ceiling and light just a single candle.
That´s how it looks like at the moment and it feels really cozy in my mind.
As you can see I like it simple. What do you prefer for your home?
