Wishful Thinking

The past weekend finally felt like Spring here in Berlin. The sun treated us with its warmest sun beams and
everything smelled fresh and spring-like. When it comes to me Spring could be all year round.
The perfect weather to get out your sandals and wear them with a classic pair of blue jeans.
There is a small selection of shoes I´d still like to add to my Spring/Summer shoe collection this year.
For example a nice pair of leather slippers as well as a pair of mid heeled sandals.
ATP Sandals seems to make my most secret shoe dreams come true by its modern minimalism.
One pair of them might be my next big investment.
I don´t know when my obsession has started but I can´t help myself when it comes to shoes.
What kind of shoe is still missing in your Spring/Summer collection?

Perfect Pair

I´m ready to start into a great new week!
Today I really feel like wearing a grown up and autumnal look.
Tweet and burgundy seemed to me like the perfect combination for this theme.
Combining two real classics with each other makes a look quite grown up in my opinion.
To break this classic style a bit I´d rather combine a blue boyfriend jeans
than a black tailored trouser but this is totally up to you and your preferences.
But I´m interested - what would be your choice?

Rediscovered

My rediscovery of the month is probably my good old pair of leather loafer.
Streetstyle icons wearing the more fashionable fury slipper version from Gucci
as you may have seen on different fashion week streetstyle shots lately.
Even if I like the fur slipper I would never buy it as it is of course extremely pricy and
I always prefer a classic item to a trendy it-piece.
I really enjoyed wearing my loafers at the moment - the perfect shoe for this season.
Therefore I ´ve gathered a small selection of my current favourites for you.
Not sure about the timelessness of the Mango slipper but
definitely a cheaper alternative to the Gucci ones.

What I would like wearing today

As I was looking at the newest Spring Summer collection of Filippa K yesterday
this brown leather dream from last seasons presentation came suddenly
back into my mind and stays there ever since. Therefore I decided to create a full look
out of this piece to bring the outfit ideas in my head on paper, or rather on screen.
I could not do otherwise and created a classic, obviously seventies inspired look mixing brown and
blue shades with silver hardware. The a-line skirt is key piece of the look and as it´s made of real lamb nappa
it is understandably not really a bargain buy. But if you´re lucky enough to live in Sweden,
close to Stockholm or Uppsala, you can benefit from Filippa K´s latest lease project,
where you can rent pieces of the current collection for 20 percent of retail price for 4 days lease.
A great project to encourage a more sustainable fashion consumption in times of mass production and fast fashion.
I´d definitely make use of this possibility when it is going to be in Berlin anytime soon.
What about you?

Zara Autumn Winter 2015

pictures via www.zara.com

Zara has launched its new season lookbook and arouses once again big big love on my part.
The 70ies vibe is not only omnipresent garment-wise in the upcoming collection,
also the Autumn Winter lookbook is obviously 70ies inspired and provides us to dive into this past decade.
I must admit, the story already got me with all its sunset romance and late summer flair.
I hope the garments can satisfy the same way.
First Autumn Winter pieces are available in stores and on www.zara.com.

New Season Arrivals

How time flies! It´s already August, the summer wasn´t really summery yet and
sale season is almost over. The good thing is that means we can expect loads
of new season arrivals from now on. My first browse reveals a promising selection
full of neutral classics with a touch of retro chic.

Currently on my mind:

My Current Uniform

This look is my answer to the currently unpredictable weather situation.
A good mixture of light summery pieces and warming Autumn/Spring pieces,
which can be used if necessary.  My current uniform consists of cropped
tailored cigarette trousers and casual light tank tops on top.
Along with it a pair of slippers or sandals for the summery touch and
a scarf and hat for the warming part.  Completed with some timeless accessories and
I´m ready to go whether it will be 30 degrees or just 22.

Perfect Pair

Just like any other year I´m much too late with my holiday plans for summer.
Right now I´m browsing through millions of airline websites to find
the one and only last minute catch but I´m still far away from any good offer
which is compatible to my expectations.
Clothing wise I do not have this problems at all.
A casual glance at the online shop new arrival section and my vacation uniform
was literally chosen in 5 minutes. When all decisions would be that easy...

Colour Crush

This colour becomes to be the epitome of this summer in my view.
This beautiful warm orangy brick-red colour crosses my way wherever I go and
lets me deviate from my habitual colour comfort zone.
I can really well imagine a combination with navy blue and beige.
What do you think about this vibrant colour?
I´ve already bought a simple linen shirt from H&M to begin in a small way
but the assortment is, of course, unlimited at the moment.

These are just some of my current cravings:

Current Favourites

Do you know this feeling when you buy something and want to wear it immediately
but the weather is just not warm enough?
My anticipation has thus become ever greater week after week and now
it is finally warm enough to take these black beauties out for a walk.

Best of Summer Dresses

Last week was finally warm enough to wear bare legs for the first time this year.
I found it quite hard to decide what to wear after such a long time of dressing myself up well.
I went for a short and shirt combination but also realized a lack of pretty dresses in my wardrobe.
This was reason enough to look arounf the shops for
potential summer companions and these ones made it onto my wishlist:

Day Crush

picture via www.style.com

I´m so thankful for these last few sunny days -  they were all I needed to look forward.
This Chloé dress came into my mind while laying in the sun.
A girl can never own too many white summer dresses, right?
Especially when you look like a protagonist of Shakespear´s A Midsummer Night´s Dream.

Found a similar high street model at Zara here.

Day Crush

Apropos Isabel Marant! I´ve stumpled across these flats yesterday at Zara,
which admittedly having a certain affinity with those Isabel Marant flats.
I still like the luxury version a lot but the price...
Zara´s version is maybe the answer of my secret request.
Do or don´t?  Get them here.

Outfit Option: The Red Shirt Dress

This week is gonna to be awesome!
The weather forecast promise high temperatures and sun, I´m finally recovered and
I have a lot of free time to use for all that things, I couldn´t do the last two weeks.
You might recognize, I´m in a really good mood and I also want to express that with my outward appearance.
What colour is looks more energetic than red?
I´ve never thought to wear red in my life but
last week I discovered this red shirt dress from Cos and fell in love immediately.
It´s nice to wear it ith sandals and a straw hat in summer but also new with a loose fit pants and a trench.
I like the colour combination of different red shades and navy blue a lot. What do you think about?
The nice little ethno accesories are just another detail I really like about this look.
Really springlike, no?

Spring Uniform

Let´s start energetically into a new month!
It is March, what means, Spring isn´t that far away. I can´t wait wearing my Spring uniform soon,
which consists of a perfect fitted black skinny jeans, an oversized fitted striped shirt,
not forgetting a light trench coat, some comfy ballerinas, a medium sized leather bag,
big sunnies and last but not least a touch of my favourite foundation.
Sometimes it can be that easy!

On my mind

I definitely concluded with winter and don´t want to think about winter clothing anymore.
Do you feel likewise?
Anyway, I prefer looking forward to sunnier days and and some new potential favourites for the beginning of summer.
I found pieces, which are already longer on my wishlist and some new discoveries, which are equally desirable.

Zara Spring/Summer Campaign 2015

pictures via zara.com

Obviously, the 70ies tendencies finally reached the high-street labels like Zara and co.
Gladiator sandals, suede pieces, fairy-like maxi dresses and flared jeans let
the seventies lovers hearts beat faster and their wishlist growing longer.
The collection has pretty much of Chloé and Valentino, which I really like.
I can´t wait for summer with these prospects. I´ve never before loved a trend better than this.

New season

For my liking winter can leave ultimately and it could turn into summer again
- wearing light blouses, skirts without tights, espadrilles and sandals and most of all sunglasses!
The online shops already stock up on new seasons pieces and stoke our yearning for warmer days.
Too many of nice little temptations everywhere and that right after sale...
I just get my inspirations from these pretty pieces for now but summer will come quickly.
I feel this in my bones!

Sale picks II

Did you already make a find in this oversupply of reduced pieces?
It´s hard to make a decision in general and even harder when the shops tempting
with further reductions and further items every day.
I know myself good enough to know that I need a bit of structure during these days.

My 3 steps for the perfect sale find:
First, I´m thinking about what is actually missing in my wardrobe and make a list,
than I set myself a financial border and not until then I´m starting watching out.

It´s a good possibility not getting lost into this whole sale madness.
I think that is useful as well for people, who are lucky to have the means to buy
whatever they want to avoid an overfilled wardrobe.

I´ve made a last selection of nice pieces of clothing and some beauty stuff as well.
Watch out, if you are beauty affine like me, some beauty shops also offering a small sale section.

Here we go:

What to wear on Christmas eve?

I can´t believe that Christmas time is going by so fast. Only 5 days left!
Did you already done all you Christmas shoppings?
I´m totally ready, but one question left
´What to wear?´
When browsing through some webshops I came across this really cute, kind of hippie-like dress made from fine lace.
It´s not that festive on the first sight but combined with some boots, gold accessories and a festive scent
it seems to be perfect, also because it has a wide silhouette around the belly area.
How do you dress at Christmas eve? Elegant or cozy or both?
