Wardrobe Basics for Spring

Slowly but surely I get sick of my winter wardrobe. For my liking winter might soon come to an end 

so that I can finally get my spring clothes out again. With spring clothes I mean light blouses, 

loafers and ballerines, t-shirts and sunglasses, which you can wear again without being stared at. 

Online you can already find a great variety of new season pieces, which I can hardly resist.  

Elin Kling has just added some really cool denim trousers to the collection of her brand Totême. 

The dark washed casual fit model would be the perfect supplement to my own denim collection. 

Worn with a well fitted t-shirt and complemented by some nice little details 

a rather simple but relaxed look for any occasion. 

What I like about t- shirt from &Other Stories is that they are made from a super soft but 

light weight material and that the arms are kind of cropped, which suits my body really well. 

If you haven´t found the perfect fitted shirt yet, you definitely check out these. 

In spring time I love to wear loafers because they are something in between ballerinas and classic lace ups.

 I already own one pair but another pair to vary seems like a good investment. Isabel Marant shoes

 are always good quality, super comfy and the designs are simply amazing. Maybe a cheaper alternative 

to classic Gucci loafers? When talking about Gucci, how cute is this bee bag? 

Usually I don´t like prints on bags and Gucci is sometimes a little bit too much for my taste but 

this bag took my heart by storm, if only the price weren´t that ridiculous. 

As you can see all of these pieces are quite classic but still not square at all. 

To invest in good quality pieces, which will last you for a couple of years, makes absolutely sense for me. 

You just have to find out, what is missing in your wardrobe and what is easy 

to combine with the pieces you already have. 

I try to stick to my list and let you know, as soon as something was allowed to move in.

Just one more sleep and it´s Christmas - yay! 

That means 3 following days with loads of delicious food and cozy times with your family on the sofa. 

I don´t know what about you but I prefer dressing comfy and casual these days. 

Hence Christmas jumpers are essentials during Christmas holidays.

On the hunt

If I had to choose I´d dare to say that boots are my favourite type of shoes. 

I wear them throughout the whole year. Ok, not on the hottest days of summer

 but even on lower summer days I love to combine a good old bootie with short skirts and dresses. 

When it comes to this time of year my boots are my most faithful

 companions and because of that a bit of variation is a must in my wardrobe. 

I´m a sucker for brown shades shoewise and I realized a general lack of black footwear. 

And even I love my brown shoe collection, my aim for this season is to find a nice pair of classic black boots. 

These are my five short-listed pairs from my first browse. 

I´m thinking about buying the Patsha boots in black as well, as I wear the brown ones almost every day. 

Or should I rather go for a fresh new look?

What I would like wearing today

It is not only Saturday today, that alone is a reason to celebrate, no, it is also my birthday! Yay!

Indeed it will be a day like every other day but my mom and my grandmother will pay me a visit and 

we are going to have a lovely afternoon with tea, rambling and nice chats, in short 

spending some rare quality time together. That has been a tradition for the last 3 years and

 I really enjoy it since I´m not living that close to my family anymore.

On this occasion I´d love to wear a casual but still chic outfit (it´s my birthday anyway), 

that I can easily upgrade to an evening look by adding some red lipstick, 

as I´ll meet up with my friends for some drinks afterwards. 

Black is one of my favourite colours to wear and looks always super chic with red lipstick. 

But you can never go wrong with an effortless french kind of look, I guess.

You know how much I love Isabel Marant right now - her mixture of classic, bohemian 

and parisian influences is exactly what I´m looking for at the moment. 

I visited the brand website lately to check out the newest summer runway looks presented last week

 as part of Paris Fashionweek and came across this beautiful spring 2016 lookbook. 

The spring garments are rather modest and classy compared to the cheer- and colourful summer collection. 

Effortless and feminin, timeless pieces I preferably want to add to my wardrobe immediately.

 I don´t mind a bit of understatement when it still has this certain something. 

Do you know this when you have a crush on a particular brand and

French Vibes

Oh Paris, I miss you so much! 

My longing for France reaches its climax every autumn again 

when I look back and remember my first weeks in Paris 2 years ago.

To satisfy this longing at least a bit I went virtual shopping to get some french vibes in my life.

New in

I´m really happy to share my latest bargain with you as I am super excited about it. 

Over the past few years I´ve evovled into a big Isabel Marant lover.

 I think, all started with my year abroad in Paris and my love for the effortless

 french chic intensified ever since. The perfect flat brown ankle bootie was still missing 

in my collection and as I´m not the biggest fan of Acne Jensen Boots I was so happy,

 that Isabel Marant brought out my dream bootie called Patsha - 

brown suede leather, slim, low heel and not too pointy. 

I know, it´s ridiculous how excited I can be about some new shoes but 

I know that I´ll enjoy them for a very long time.

Perfect Pair

I´m so sorry for this autumnally content yet in the mid of August but 

I have always been an autumn girl and the new arrivals are just too pretty to resist. 

I mean this knitted merino dress can also be worn on colder summer days 

without tights but therefore with those perfect suede camel boots. 

For Autumn you just need to add tights and a warm coat and

 lo and behold a perfet pair for Summer and Autumn time.

How time flies! It´s already August, the summer wasn´t really summery yet and 

sale season is almost over. The good thing is that means we can expect loads 

of new season arrivals from now on. My first browse reveals a promising selection

 full of neutral classics with a touch of retro chic.

In view of the current temperature variation today a perfect pair for colder summer days. 

Both pieces can be found this way or in a similar way in my wardrobe.

 Actually they are my staples for Autumn season but 

in combination with shorts or skirts they are just right for this weather as well.

My Current Uniform

This look is my answer to the currently unpredictable weather situation. 

A good mixture of light summery pieces and warming Autumn/Spring pieces, 

which can be used if necessary.  My current uniform consists of cropped 

tailored cigarette trousers and casual light tank tops on top. 

Along with it a pair of slippers or sandals for the summery touch and 

a scarf and hat for the warming part.  Completed with some timeless accessories and 

I´m ready to go whether it will be 30 degrees or just 22.

Apropos Isabel Marant! I´ve stumpled across these flats yesterday at Zara,

which admittedly having a certain affinity with those Isabel Marant flats.

I still like the luxury version a lot but the price...

Zara´s version is maybe the answer of my secret request.

Outfit Option: The Red Shirt Dress

This week is gonna to be awesome!

The weather forecast promise high temperatures and sun, I´m finally recovered and

I have a lot of free time to use for all that things, I couldn´t do the last two weeks.

You might recognize, I´m in a really good mood and I also want to express that with my outward appearance. 

What colour is looks more energetic than red?

I´ve never thought to wear red in my life but

last week I discovered this red shirt dress from Cos and fell in love immediately. 

It´s nice to wear it ith sandals and a straw hat in summer but also new with a loose fit pants and a trench.

I like the colour combination of different red shades and navy blue a lot. What do you think about?

New season

For my liking winter can leave ultimately and it could turn into summer again

- wearing light blouses, skirts without tights, espadrilles and sandals and most of all sunglasses! 

The online shops already stock up on new seasons pieces and stoke our yearning for warmer days.

Sale picks II

Did you already make a find in this oversupply of reduced pieces?
It´s hard to make a decision in general and even harder when the shops tempting
with further reductions and further items every day.
I know myself good enough to know that I need a bit of structure during these days.

My 3 steps for the perfect sale find:
First, I´m thinking about what is actually missing in my wardrobe and make a list, 
than I set myself a financial border and not until then I´m starting watching out.

It´s a good possibility not getting lost into this whole sale madness.
I think that is useful as well for people, who are lucky to have the means to buy
whatever they want to avoid an overfilled wardrobe.

That´s why I´m already on the look-out for cozy knits, which keeps me warm all autumn/winter long.

Summer Essentials

These are the only things you need for a relaxed day on the pool.

I regret a bit not buying these striped Acne shorts in Sale.

I love shorts in summertime even more than dresses and this one is so sailor´s like and perfect for the beach.

Just combined with a bikini top, sandals, sunnies and a cool straw hat, who protects you from the hot sun beams.

To complete the protection program I´ve chosen the sun line of Clarins.

The sun oil with 30 UVA/UVB protection supports the bronzing process and prevent a sunburn.

And after an extensive sunbath it needs nothing more that the After-Sun-Lotion and a cool drink.

I´m in the mood of pink!
