Wardrobe Basics for Spring

Slowly but surely I get sick of my winter wardrobe. For my liking winter might soon come to an end
so that I can finally get my spring clothes out again. With spring clothes I mean light blouses,
loafers and ballerines, t-shirts and sunglasses, which you can wear again without being stared at.
Online you can already find a great variety of new season pieces, which I can hardly resist.
Elin Kling has just added some really cool denim trousers to the collection of her brand Totême.
The dark washed casual fit model would be the perfect supplement to my own denim collection.
Worn with a well fitted t-shirt and complemented by some nice little details
a rather simple but relaxed look for any occasion.
What I like about t- shirt from &Other Stories is that they are made from a super soft but
light weight material and that the arms are kind of cropped, which suits my body really well.
If you haven´t found the perfect fitted shirt yet, you definitely check out these.
In spring time I love to wear loafers because they are something in between ballerinas and classic lace ups.
I already own one pair but another pair to vary seems like a good investment. Isabel Marant shoes
are always good quality, super comfy and the designs are simply amazing. Maybe a cheaper alternative
to classic Gucci loafers? When talking about Gucci, how cute is this bee bag?
Usually I don´t like prints on bags and Gucci is sometimes a little bit too much for my taste but
this bag took my heart by storm, if only the price weren´t that ridiculous.
As you can see all of these pieces are quite classic but still not square at all.
To invest in good quality pieces, which will last you for a couple of years, makes absolutely sense for me.
You just have to find out, what is missing in your wardrobe and what is easy
to combine with the pieces you already have.
I try to stick to my list and let you know, as soon as something was allowed to move in.

Celebrating Feminity

Every now and then I came across pictures of those really cool rugs and started look out for them online.
In my search I´ve stumbled upon some more cool boob themed home accessories,
which I think, are super cool and absolutely aesthetic. I can´t help myself but I love the way boobs look and
I think the time has come to celebrate feminity in all its beauty.
Admittedly, it´s quite a big statement to have a rug with boobs laying in your living room but
I thought about starting with this smaller bathmat of a female torso.
What do you think about these home accessories - sexist or feminist?

What I would like wearing today

Happy Valentines Day everyone, whether you´re celebrating it or not.
If you do, than this is maybe an inspiration for you what to wear for a date night out with your Valentine and if not,
than it might be just an inspiration for every other date night. Maybe I went a little bit crazy with all this
Valentines Day themed stuff in my collage but I just like every single piece of my selection so much.
I think overknee boots and a sort skirt are sexy enough to go for a more dressed way on top
but the bright red colour is a great eyecatcher for such a special occasion. Pretty underwear, you feel comfortable in,
is a must for a romantic date just like a big smile on your face.
With this small inspiration boeard I wish you a day full of love or at least a chilled Sunday!

Jewellery Staples

My jewellery collection mainly consists of some really pretty but rather old school
heirlooms from my mum and some quite lovely but cheap fashion jewellery pieces.
That´s why I was on the hunt for a beautiful piece of jewellery timelessly but still unique to a reasonable price.
I thought it would be much harder to find something, which corresponds with my expectations
but I ended up quite fast with a nice little selection of my favourite pieces.
I think, all of these are real staple pieces, some more than others but it always depends on your personal style.
Those who dress quite simple and classic, can go for example for a more eye-catching piece and
it will still go with a lot of your clothes and can become real staples in your collection.
Everything of my selection would blend  perfectly in my wardrobe, which is something between
timeless and modern with a classic touch. I know, the prices can be quite deterrent for something
so tiny but it will last you for such a long time and even perhaps your children.
And hey, Valentine´s Day is just around the corner. Maybe your boyfriend is still without a plan,
then just send him over to my site. Otherwise I´m sure we don´t need anybody to buy ourselves a surprise.
I already got myself one of these pieces as the beginning of my jewellery staple collection. Guess which one!

The Little Something

A short while ago I came across these lovely brooches of the french accessory brand Macon&Lesquoy.
I know, brooches are actually not that kind of accessory you might be looking for but as you can see,
these ones are just beautiful and anything but old school.
Moreover, they are hand embroidered and absolutely pretty in every detail.
You can choose of a variety of different motifs, some more classic ones but also some funny ones.
For me it is absolutely impossible to choose only one favourite but in the end
I went for a more classic palm tree leaf, which I stick to my simple stripy shirt to make it a little bit more special.
The cloud and the croissant are my other two favourites and would be my next choice.
The prices are more than affordable for a hand embroidered piece which looks so lovely and is so versatile.
Definitely a great discovery! You can order online on www.maconetlesquoy.com or
Berlin based people can find a good selection at Hallesches Haus.

Heather Kemesky & Lou Schoof by Zoe Ghertner for Vogue UK January 2015

pictures via www.wearesodroee.com

A new editorial titled ´Old friends´ by my favourite photographer Zoe Ghertner is published
in the current issue of Vogue UK and it is no surprise that I totally love it.
I really admire her work since I discovered her, because she tells even more than just fashion
even if it is a simple fashion story. Her pictures are not about perfect retouched faces or selling the female body.
You can always discover more in her photographies. I feel like her latest work is quite sensitive
like most of her works indeed. The way she creates portraits of Heather Kemesky and Lou Schoof
even if they are not in the same picture is simply amazing.
The motifs are carefully considered and perfectly constructed. Fashion Editor Lucinda Chambers
also did an amazing job by styling both in very similar boyish looks.
This underlines the story of this editorial even better and thereby differs from a lot of other fashion edits for me.
